This was a big week for us. They all seem to be big weeks for us lately. Can I quote what I said at the beginning of 2017 on my blog?
“We are praying for a 2017 where nothing happens.”
This is so far from the truth. We are trying to have faith, celebrate the mundane in the midst of a hurricane and love each other fiercely.
I am trying to keep everyone updated but it is so hard. So we try our best. Thank you for your patience and support.
So….. I cut my babies hair. Right around the time she started chemotherapy I took a video of her brushing her hair.
I knew it was a possibility that she would lose her hair. It was getting hard to brush and was breaking a lot. I finally gave in an pulled into a salon on whim. It was time. She was ready, I was not. I had already made and cancelled her hair appointment so I knew when she asked, that it was time. The hairdresser was amazing and Zoe only knows that mama had tears in her eyes because she was so beautiful. And oh my goodness… she is so beautiful!
Check out this gorgeous quilt came from @mariefickes! I should have gotten a shot of the quilt by itself because it is so amazing. We take it to Zoe’s treatment and it keeps her warm and occupied. Every other square is different on the front giving us hours of I SPY Fun!!!! We love our I SPY quilt Marie!!!
