Meet the Walter family! Their oldest daughter Cortney is an amazing cancer warrior and the whole family is AMAZING! Thank you for letting me photograph you!

A little about Cortney’s journey from her mom Serina: Cortney was a seemingly healthy 9 year old girl when one day she woke up unable to open her hand. After a trip to the hospital a CT scan revealed Cortney had a mass on her brain. A very long 2 weeks later she and her family traveled to San Francisco to have the brain tumor removed. When the doctor cut the blood supply to the tumor, Cortney suffered a stroke. When she woke up she was paralyzed on the left side of her body. However, the doctor was able to fully remove all of the tumor. Cortney then traveled to Salt Lake City for a month long inpatient rehab to learn how to walk again. As soon as Cortney was headed the right direction with mobility, she returned to Boise Idaho for intense chemo and radiation.
Cortney is now 13 years old and doing well. 3 years in remission. Straight A student that always wears a smile on her face.
